We had a short school holiday that coincided with the Valentine's Day weekend, and we had already decided to spend it in New York. But, remarkably, when we checked the prices, the combined airfare- hotel cost was actually less for Paris. Unable to pass up such a bargain, we were able to have a very relaxing four days in the city we both love so much. On the day we arrived, some sort of agricultural demonstration was taking place all over the city (but we never did discover exactly what the protesters wanted.) |
