This trip, our third with students to Germany and Austria and our eighth overall, was the first time we had ever traveled with girls only. We began the trip with a short visit to Neuschwanstein followed by stays in Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Munich, Rothenburg and Frankfurt. One of the dangers of traveling with a group of girls came on one of the nights in Salzburg. We were staying in a pension several hundred years old in the heart of the Old City. All the girls decided to use their hairdryers at the same time and took out most of the lights in the building (the owner-manager lived and stayed outside the city), but luckily the few other guests were very gracious and just laughed about the inconvenience! |
