Switzerland by Rail--Spring '92

Brenda and I had enjoyed the Switzerland portion of our 1989 Eurail trip so much that we decided to spend our 1992 Easter vacation seeing the parts of Switzerland that we had read about but never seen. The hardest part was deciding what to leave out. Even as we landed in Zurich, we were still debating which route to take. When we arrived at the main Zurich station, we decided to begin with whichever train was leaving soonest--and then let a similar rule determine the rest of the trip. We knew that a few places had to be included: The Ticino, especially part of the Centovalli train route; Gruyeres; Stein am Rhein; and the route of the Glacier Express including both Zermatt and St. Moritz.
