Paris in the Spring: 1994

On this trip to Paris, we stayed at the Hotel du Palais Bourbon in the 7th, just down the street from the Rodin Museum.  Although the hotel is a good budget choice and the neighborhood is quiet and safe, our later experiences have convinced us that visitors to the 7th should always stay in the rue Cler vicinity.  Luckily, the Varenne stop on the Metro was just around the corner and Bus 69 stopped just down the street. Metro Varenne
Street in Chartres Although we slept in our Paris hotel each night, on this trip we spent just about as much time on daytrips outside the city as we did on sightseeing within the city.  We were able to revisit some sights that we had not seen in a while and take in a number of places for the first time.  Sometimes, daytripping from Paris can take a little perserverance and some work, but the results are always worth the trouble.
