From London to Normandy to Paris
Foreign Studies Class: 1999-2000

For this year's trip, we had the largest number of participants (11 students, 4 parents, and the two of us) we have had in many years.  As a result, we were able to do a few things that we had not done before--primarily to hire coaches in order to visit some of the places in between.  After our visit to London, we traveled to Canterbury and then to Battle before taking an overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg.  There, we met our French coach and driver and visited Bayeux, Mont St. Michel, and the D-Day beaches.  Then, from Rouen we took the train to Paris where we ended the tour.
